How Junction connects to e-Builder
e-Builder offers a REST API with a key issued by an administrator. Junction reads through it, within the daily call limits the service enforces, and never writes.
Questions you could ask about e-Builder
- “Which capital projects are over their approved budget?”
- “What are the open change orders on each program?”
- “Which invoices are waiting for approval the longest?”
Answers come from your own system, with the source rows and the time the data was last updated.
What to know
- Owner-side systems like this are one place Junction aims to differ from contractor-only connectors.
- Early access: no e-Builder mapping exists yet. The API has a daily call limit, so answers are cached briefly.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this only for contractors?
- No. Owners and owner's representatives use e-Builder and Owner Insite, and Junction is built to include them.
- Will heavy use hit e-Builder's limits?
- Junction rate-limits its calls and caches answers briefly to stay within them, and tells you plainly when a limit is reached.
