COINS MCP server: connect COINS to Claude and ChatGPT

How Junction connects to COINS
COINS can be read two ways: through its API with read-only credentials your administrator authorises, or, where it runs on your own servers, through a read-only database login. For servers that cannot be reached from the internet, the small Junction agent runs inside your network and connects outward, so no inbound firewall port is opened. COINS's API or table documentation is available only to customers or partners, so building this connector needs a customer who can share it with us.
Questions you could ask about COINS
- “Which contracts have cost ahead of valuation?”
- “Which subcontractor applications are waiting for certification?”
- “Which vendors have invoices unpaid for more than 45 days?”
Answers come from your own system, with the source rows and the time the data was last updated.
What to know
- Not available yet. COINS is in Junction's next wave of systems: widely used (markets: United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Middle East) and readable without writing to it. We build each mapping from the vendor's own reference and check it with a customer who runs the system before calling it live.
- Integration routes found in our research: REST API, ODBC (Progress OpenEdge DB).
- When we researched this in October 2026 we found no MCP server from the vendor.
- Payroll and personal data are denied by default.
